Who we are

Cornerstone Community Church exists to proclaim the power of the gospel in every area of one’s life to the glory of God Almighty and for our Joy, Blessings and Peace.

Through reading (from the Scriptures), teaching (Bible studies), and preaching (Evangelism), and through a prayerful life the main objective of our church is to carry out the Great Commission in Matthew 28, and make disciples of all nations. Jesus Christ, as He showed through His sacrifice on the cross, opening the way for our salvation.

CCC is a church is purposed to help you know Christ deeply and to form a strong and loving relationship with Him based on grace, a grace that will forgive you of your sins and grant you the power of God’s Holy Spirit to live a life that will glorify Him.

The Holy Bible tells us that it is through hearing the Word that we gain faith, allowing us to receive God’s grace, which we then share with people through fellowship and acts of service. We hope that the church services and Bible studies will help the Word come alive to you and that you may feel it near to you as God intends.

Active church planting projects were initiated in order to reach the local people more effectively and penetrate the city powerfully. The Great Commission of preaching the Word to the ends of the earth also inspired the church planting project in reaching many more cities as part of Olivet Assembly of India.

Our hope is to reach out to many souls with the power of the Word of God and share in the joy of salvation that comes from knowing Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Located in the heart of Bangalore, the BTM 2nd Stage, a feet away from Bannerghatta main road, we wish to be instrumental in the fulfillment of God’s dream, the universal vision of building the body of Christ and as the salt and the light to the city.

We seek the abundant diversity formed by people from various backgrounds harmoniously united in the truth.

The word preached by acknowledged and anointed men of God to help people deeply digest the truth and experience individual transfiguration.

We are fully committing to fulfilling the great commission that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed His children to follow. As true disciples of Christ, we not only listen to the Word of God, but we also follow the footsteps of Christ in feeding the lost sheep and dying so that many others may live in Christ. Therefore, we wish to spread the good news of the Gospel to the world, neighborhood, and street.

We are continually growing and preparing to set up multiple sites per city. We believe that in order to share the joy of salvation that comes through Jesus Christ, we must consider the most strategic method in reaching hundreds and thousands of people. Church planting allows our congregation to put the Word into practice and reach the masses with the message of the Gospel. In this way, we can truly heal the wounded, influence lives, and change the world with the knowledge of Christ.

The Word of God gives us true life and a sense of satisfaction we could never find in the secular world. Through our gender-based, age-based, and interest-based ministries there is a place where God can use every person in investing their talents and life for the Kingdom of God. We are committed to sharing fellowship, sharing life, and sharing the joy of the Lord through our Christ-centered churches no matter the location.

We welcome those who are willing to serve with the gifts and skills innately blessed by God. We seek to branch out the types of work related to faith, varying the opportunities of revealing and making the most of all talents, ultimately to serve His Kingdom.

Faith Statement

We believe the following:

1. THE BIBLE: We  believe the Holy Bible is the word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and it is the sole source and authority in matters of faith and conduct.  (2 Tim.3:16, 2 Pet. 1:20-21, Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 119:105).

2. GOD: There is One God, the creator of all things; and has revealed himself in three distinct persons – God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The three are co-equal and co-eternal. (Deut.6:4, Col.1:16, 2 Cor. 13:14, John 10:30, Psalm 90:2, Psalm 93:1, Psalm 139:1-6, 7-13, Deut.32:4, Exo.9:27, 1 John 4:8, 1 Peter 1:3, Romans 8:28).

3. MAN: Man was created in the image of God, to be a physical and spiritual being in fellowship with God, but the fall and sin has separated man from his creator. Therefore, man is in need of a Saviour to save him from the eternal damnation and hell. (Gen.1:26-27, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Eph.2:1-5, 12).

4. JESUS CHRIST: We believe that Lord Jesus Christ is God in human flesh. He is the Saviour of the world and the second person of the Holy Trinity. He was born of the virgin Mary and became man like one of us, but unlike other human beings was without sin. He sacrificed and died for sinners so that men can be saved by believing in his finished work of salvation. He rose again from the death and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. (John 1:1, Matthew 1:21, Col.1:15, Isaiah 53:5-6, Acts 16:31, Matthew 28:6, Heb.4:15, 1 Peter 1:3).

5. SALVATION: Salvation is a free gift of God through the sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross and his glorious resurrection. Salvation is solely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; and not by works or merit. Anyone who believes in Jesus alone will be saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:8-9, 1 Peter 2:24, John 14:6).

6. WATER BAPTISM: We believe that water baptism is the outward expression of the inward change that has already taken place. Water baptism itself does not save man but a person who had been born-again must do water baptism in obedience of the Lord’s command and show to the world that he is coming out from the water as a new person like Jesus died and rose again from the death by his glorious resurrection (Matt. 28:20; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:34-36; Acts 19:1-6. Rom. 6:1-6).

7. HOLY COMMUNION: We believe in the Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper for believers. It is an ordinance given by Jesus Christ to remember his sacrifice for us on the cross and to symbolize the new covenant. The bread and wine are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. (1 Cor. 11:28-32; Matt. 26:26-28, 2 Pet. 1:4).

8. THE CHURCH: The Church is the body of Christ on this earth. We believe in the one true holy universal Church, which is made up of genuine believers in Christ. And the local church with its autonomy and self-governance has only one head which is Our Lord Jesus Christ. The local church exists to be witness of the gospel to the nations, ministering sacraments, comforting its people (1 Cor. 12: 12 – 14, 2 Cor.11:2, Eph.1:22-23, 5:25-27).

9. HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is God, the third person in the Holy Trinity. He dwells among all Christians. He comforts us, guides us, and blesses us with spiritual gifts, understanding of the truth and empowers us to bear the fruit of the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1).

10. THE SECOND COMING: We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised to take his believers with him to Heaven. However, those who do not believe in him will be condemned to eternal hell. When Christ comes back, he will restore everything. And he will reign with his saints for a thousand year. The Kingdom of God will be then restored fully. (1 Thess. 4:16-17, 1 Cor. 15:51-52, Rev. 20:1-6).

11. THE GREAT COMMISSION: As Christ commanded his disciples, we believe all Christians have the great privilege and commission to preach and spread the good news of the gospel to all people in all nations, making them to become disciples of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15).

Membership

Understanding that Christ “loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25), CCC Bangalore retains formal membership. We acknowledge formal membership as an important step in demonstrating our commitment to Jesus Christ.

All believers are members of the body of Christ and local church membership is the public acknowledgment of this spiritual reality. As followers of Christ, we are all “members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19), and it is our duty to play our roles as a member of His body. We become one healthy body when each member does its part well (1 Corinthians 12:20).

CCC Bangalore holds its members in high regard—they are expected to proclaim and reveal the gospel in anywhere their life happens. In a multi-cultural city, God, in his sovereignty, placed us among these people with a purpose. We pray to be faithful managers of the House of God.

Please inform your intend to become member of this church to the pastor or any other leaders or elders in the church.
